In accordance with the laws on personal and business data protection, you will find below the charter presenting the commitments of BY CONNECT S.A.S for protecting the personal data of Internet users visiting this website or any websites of events organised by BY CONNECT S.A.S and visitors of events organised by BY CONNECT S.A.S. It also provides information on the procedures for collecting and using your personal or business data and the options you have in this respect.

This charter may be amended at any time by BY CONNECT S.A.S in order to comply with any regulatory, case-law, editorial and/or technical developments.

BY CONNECT S.A.S complies with General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, the French Data Protection Law No.78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended, and the law on confidence in the digital economy No.2004-575 of 21 June 2004 (Article L. 34-5).

The Data Controller is BY CONNECT S.A.S, a French simplified joint stock company with share capital of €25,000, registered with Annecy Trade and Companies Register under No.51841401600015, and whose registered office is located at 1, impasse des Jardins Ouvriers 74600 Seynod - France.

Data collection and use

All of the personal and business information collected by BY CONNECT SAS:

  • When a request is made via one of the forms on our websites is computer processed to help us fully organise our events. This data is likely to be used for promoting all the events organised by BY CONNECT SAS.
  • During online registration for one of our events or via admission without prior online registration is computer processed to help us fully organise the event and passed on to certain exhibitors/ presenters at the end of the event. All visitor data collected (identity, company e-mail, address, etc.) may be used by BY CONNECT or partners or exhibitors for promoting other events or sales of services.
  • During a visit to our web pages via your behaviour data: BY CONNECT S.A.S may also collect your browsing data using data collection tools such as cookies, tags, web beacons and any other appropriate technical means.
  • Via interaction data: BY CONNECT S.A.S may be required to process data on interactions between you and our company (opening or link for newsletters we send, clicks on links in the newsletters we send).

All of these data are retained for 3 years.

Accessing / modifying / deleting data

You can delete all your data from our system from your visitor account via your dashboard, My account section at the bottom right, button 'delete my account'.

You can also request the deletion or modification of your data by sending us an email on rgpd@by-connect.com from the email box you used to contact us initially (mandatory), via the email you used to register online.

Important note on transfering data to third parties

Transfer is done via download from a HTTPS URL and using secure access via a username & password. It is a single download and the file disappears from the server after it has been downloaded.

When BY CONNECT S.A.S transfers your personal data to third parties, it contractually regulates this transfer so that the partner complies with personal data regulations.

However, BY CONNECT S.A.S is not responsible for the processing of your declarative data by its partners once these data have been transferred to them. To stop receiving commercial offers from partners or third parties, we suggest you refer to their terms and conditions for further information or unsubscribe from their mailing list. You may also exercise your rights of access, rectification, opposition, deletion, data portability and restriction of processing with regard to our different partners according to the procedures they have determined.
